Cake Smash!

Little Jocelyn turned 1, and we celebrated with a Cake Smash!

Happy Anniversary Matt & Julia!

In my first reflection of 2011, I mention the wedding I attended in Lake Louise. Well on New Years Eve, 2011, Matt & Julia celebrated 1 year of marriage. Out at the lake was the perfect winter wonderland, next to Lake Louise of course, to capture this special moment.

Reflecting on 2011

For my first blog post I thought I would take a look at 2011. It was a busy year, filled with fun and excitement. I met a lot of new and exciting people and their families, re-connected with old friends and helped create new and exciting memories family and friends, old and new.

2011 started out with a bang as I spent New Year in Lake Louise at a family wedding. Although not their hired photographer, I got to take some beautiful photos of the mountains in the winter, and beautiful Chateau Lake Louise.

Throughout the early part of 2011, I photographed a young lady expecting TWINS, our very good friends' beautiful baby boy, Brody, and a dear high school friend's baby Nicholas.

Spring brought opportunities to photograph my dear friend in a boudoir photo session, the above mentioned Nicholas's big sister turning 16, Sabrina and Russ's engagement, and a group of girls who celebrated their grad night.

Summer vas busier than I expected, considering I did not shoot any weddings this year. Adria and Michelle were expecting babies, Jennifer's twins were born, a past wedding client welcomed MacKenzie into the world, took a trip to Falcon Lake to photograph a good friend,'s family,Michelle's baby Kaiden was born, went out to the country to photograph Rhett in his Radio Flyer wagon, and met with the Machel family in Kildonan Park.

Fall is the most beautiful time for family photos. The Wajda family, Jacqueline, Jeff and Ava, Mike, Ashley and Bear, and the Halls all took advantage of the beautiful fall colors. Oh yeah, and Kaiden turned 3 months.

November and December were my busiest months. Rhett's grandparents, who have been married for 35 years, asked me to take their photos, since they hadn't had them done in about 15 years. Kaiden's first Christmas and Ashton's birth were next. Then the most exciting photos (at least for me)- my awesome boyfriend built me some studio props and backgrounds and I offered my first studio sessions. 9 babies participated and it was so much fun!
